Each spring, the City of Wamego comes alive with thousands of visitors, vibrant colors of tulips and over 150 craft vendors. The vivacious colors of the tulips from Holland are the backdrop for the April art and craft fair in Wamego City Park.

PARKING:
Free parking is available on side streets surrounding Wamego City Park. For handicap parking, there are some space available in the Wamego Aquatic Center (This is located at east side of the corner of Ash Street and 5th Street.) parking lot and in the 400 block of Ash St. There are other designated spaces by the Children's Train Depot on 6th St.

While visiting Wamego, please stop by our world reknowned Columbian Theatre and the OZ Museum. Both are located downtown Wamego.

OZ MUSEUM
Be transported to the yellow brick road at the Oz Museum in Wamego. Guests will start their journey in the sepia-toned Auntie Em’s Gift Shop; pass through the screen door and into the technicolor world of Oz. Follow the path of the yellow brick road throughout the museum and view over 100 years of Oz history. Rare OZ artifacts such as original MGM 1939 movie production notes and props from the Broadway musical Wicked are also on display.

Tulip Festival Tulips
Timing is everything and if we are blessed with tulips blooming at the same time as our festival, you can enjoy these brilliant flowers by the Historic Museum and Prairie Town Village, which includes the Schonhoff Dutch Mill. Also, tulips are found throughout the Wamego City Park, downtown Wamego, near the Wamego Public Library, Railroad Park and Welcome to Wamego sign at the Corner of Hwy 99 & Hwy 24.
